It's a tale as old as time: photos pass on from generation to generation telling the intricate story of a family's history and inevitable end up in a dusty basement or garage untouched until the next move, clean, or inheritance.

Carol Richards nearly fell into that trap but an old brown suitcase in the garage caught her eye. After opening the latches, she entered the world through Helen's lens - her husband's grandmother. Stuffed with well-detailed photographs, Carol set out to track down relatives of people in Helen's photos so she could send them the images.
